Brain Stimulation Lab
This lab is equipped with two transcranial stimulation systems, which allow inducing transient modification of electrical cerebral activity to study the role of the stimulated brain areas in cognition and behavior. The transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) system includes a stereotactic localization system, the TMS machine itself and several 8-shaped coils including an air-cooled one. The transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) system includes a DC stimulator. Both labs are located in the laboratory space are in the basement of Liebiggasse 5.
